Appointed as a Supreme Court Judge on the 15 th of September 2022, Bahar Duatepe was born in Limassol on the 26 th March, 1969. She graduated from Famagusta Namık Kemal Lycee.She graduated from Marmara University in 1991 and started practicing as a lawyer on the 18 th of March, 1993.She was appointed as a District Court Judge on the 17 th May 1999, as a Senior District Court Judge on the 4 th of January 2007, and as President of the District Court on the 1 st of November 2011.Within this period, she served in Nicosia District Court, Assize Court, Famagusta District Court, Nicosia and Kyrenia Assize Court and finally at the Famagusta District Court. She has two children and she knows English as a forign language.
